Artist's Description
Memorial Day Milky Way Well almost this was shot the morning before Memorial Day on May 24, 2015 at 1:24 AM from the beach at Vacationland Campground on Crystal Lake, Harrison, Maine, USA, Earth. This is a 3 minute exposure using a Pentax K-30 with the Pentax OGPS-1 Astrotracer, 10mm Samyang lens, f/2.8, ISO 800. The RAW file was developed in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Earth bound objects are blurred slightly from the camera sensor following the Earths rotation with the Pentax Astrotracer. The yellowish glow over the left horizon is most likely from the cities of Lewiston and Auburn, Maine and the glow over the right horizon is likely from the towns of Bridgeton, Windam and the city of Portland, Maine. In the right and left foreground are docks and boats.
