Alerted to possible aurora activity reaching the Maine coast, I stepped out of my camper to a glorious clear Northern sky late Friday night July 10, 2015 at Sagadahoc Bay Campground. The sky had an odd whitish glow to it which can be a hint of something the camera can pick up but the human eye cannot always see - this evening it was a beautiful magenta color with greens lower in the horizon coming and going.
